LIBRARY OUTREACH

HIGH COUNTRY LIBRARY

This free service is available to High Country Library patrons who are unable to visit a branch library. Visits are made on a monthly basis to the Commercial Hotel, Woods Point. A postal service is also offered if needed.

NEIGHBOURHOOD SAFE PLACE

The new Woods Point NSP is complete and operational. The NSP is located 150m from the main road directly south of the Woods Point Police Station. The NSP can accommodate approximately 100 persons and is the leading fire refuge of its kind.

Only minutes south of Woods Point, Richmond Retreat Cabins are located on spacious grounds, running down the Goulburn River. The cabins include three fully furnished bedrooms sleeping six and a share bathroom. A communal kitchen and enclosed BBQ built around the original old miners Cottage chimney is available for use, shaded by a century old walnut tree.
