Discover days gone by on a Woods Point History Walk. starting with Australia's most famous petrol station! Built over 100 years ago, The Wood Point Fuel stop is one of the most photographed petrol stations in the country. Cross the neighbouring Walking Bridge to the Brewery Creek Mining Track for an adventure into the world of old minig relics, undistrurbed and ghostlike! The walk is peppered with mine tunnels, tall tree ferns, chimney remains and views of the Hope Mine on the other side of the valley. Return along the Water Race Track, listening to Lyrebirds. View the old stonework of historic terraced vegetable gardens and the quaint Cottage Garden. Journey on to the nearby lookout and enjoy the tranquil views across the Goulburn RIver and Woods Point township...
